WDI Waxed Jacket Service

Turn a standard M65 field jacket into a weather-resistant, hard-wearing piece of gear with our traditional waxing process. Waxing adds water resistance, wind resistance, and a rugged patina that improves with age and use.

Each jacket is treated by hand using a heat-set waxing method to ensure the wax penetrates the fabric properly rather than sitting on the surface. The result is a jacket that sheds rain, blocks wind more effectively, and develops a unique character over time.

Option 1: You provide the jacket.

Already have a jacket you love? Send it in and we’ll handle the rest.

Your jacket will be inspected, cleaned if necessary, and then waxed using our full treatment process. This service adds weather resistance while preserving the character of the garment you already own.

Customer is responsible for shipping the jacket to WDI. Once the jacket arrives, we will complete the service and return it as quickly as possible.

Option 2: Waxing Service Add-On

Ordering a jacket directly from WDI? Add waxing during checkout and receive it ready for hard use.

This option applies the same full waxing process to any eligible jacket purchased from our inventory. Simply add a note to your order at checkout indicating which jacket you would like the service applied to.

Option 3: WDI Sourced Jacket

Want the full package without hunting for a jacket yourself? WDI will source a quality M65 field jacket and apply our waxing process before delivery.

Add this option to your cart and we will contact you to discuss your preferred jacket type, condition, and sizing. Once we locate a suitable jacket, you will receive an invoice for the item. After payment, we will complete the waxing process and ship the finished jacket to you.

Disclaimers

• This is a hand-applied process. Most jackets will develop a slightly darker, even finish after waxing, but minor variations and inconsistencies are normal.
• Please allow approximately one week of lead time once we receive your jacket to complete the service and ship it back. Lead time may be longer if WDI is sourcing a jacket on your behalf.
• This service is intended for the M65 Field Jacket, but can be performed on any jacket that is a cotton/canvas material.
